Ms Moo’s Stress Survival Guide

Posted 186 days ago

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a pickle.

I’ve been waiting for a few bits of good news and confirmation of things and was left waiting for most of the weekend. Whilst I did manage to keep myself occupied, my head has been pre-occupied, y’know?

This Monday was a washout. I felt rubbish all day (probably from the lack of mental rest over the weekend) and really wanted the day to be over by about 11am when my head started to nod!

To feel a bit better about myself, I wrote out a gratitude list in my to-do book!

Doing this was SO cathartic.

I bloody love lists anyway but writing down stuff I was thankful or just good little things I was looking forward to was so uplifting! It really helped to change my way of thinking and won my day over.

(NB: This too was helped with one helluva big coffee!)

My wedding season is over now and but writing down things that I needed to do NOW for next year has helped me – I have a plan!

I’ve checked out so many sites the last few days, and got so much inspiration. I love it! Doing this also helped me make a list of things I needed to do then I got on with it and felt I was invincible.

To continue this good feeling, I decided to take the bull by the horns on Tuesday.

I don’t do it often but I got up and put a full face of make-up on and decided to wear my power lipstick. Lipstick is only usually an occasion for going out for me, but hell, I was going to need something to get me through. Here I am!

It’s called Encounter by Illamasqua. It’s a bloody (literally) lovely matt red and perfectly matches my eyebrows.

I don’t wear much make-up for work (eyeliner, eyebrows, mascara and matt primer) so this was a nice change and I got a lot of compliments.

What do you think? How do you deal with your stresses? Have you a power item?

Accessories, shoes, handbag? Do YOU have a power lipstick? I think everyone should get one, and if you can, get Illamasqua. You won’t be disappointed!
