For over a century the Whitechapel Gallery has premiered world-class artists from modern masters such as Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Frida Kahlo to contemporaries such as Sophie Calle, Lucian Freud, Gilbert & George and Mark Wallinger.
The Whitechapel Gallery is pleased to be able to offer its stunning and historic Gallery spaces as a location for private events such as engagement parties and wedding receptions.
On the edge of the Square Mile, neighbouring The City, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch and the Olympic Park, the Whitechapel Gallery is a world class venue for private events.
The Whitechapel Gallery has a range of beautiful Gallery spaces which are available for private hire. For unique receptions and stunning engagement dinners, we suggest using the elegant Gallery 2.
Gallery 2 was once the former central reading room of the Whitechapel Library, and now houses an annual contemporary commission. This space is a beautiful location which mixes historic architecture with contemporary art to provide a truly unique location for your celebration.
For intimate engagement parties of up to 70 guests or reception dinners for 50 the penthouse style Creative Studio is a perfect location for the modern couple.
